Just for kids! Come see how the beauty of the bay extends beyond the beaches by joining Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast for an aquatic adventure at Bay Preserve. Together we will wade in the grass flats of Little Sarasota Bay and use dip nets to collect the baby creatures that live there - fish, shrimp, crabs, and maybe even a seahorse! Learn all about these special creatures, the place they call home, and how you can do your part to protect our coastal waters. If we’re lucky, a manatee might even stop by to say hello!

For children ages 5 to 10.  Parent or guardian must be present. Those attending are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the shore following this fun-filled morning.

Registration for this special event is required and space is limited to 30 children. Reserve your space below or by calling (941) 918-2100. Please list each child when registering. If the event is marked as 'sold out' and you would like to be added to the wait-list, please let us know by emailing sam@conservationfoundation.com.

Closed-toe shoes appropriate for the water are required - aqua socks or old sneakers are the best. NO FLIP-FLOPS are allowed. Crocs must be tight-fitting. Don’t forget to wear your sunscreen!
