Palm Ball

This year’s Palm Ball pays homage to the venerable woods and forests that are vital to our earth and to our Gulf Coast. They provide safe haven for wild creatures and they protect and nurture plant life. Their trees are the great healers of nature — cleaning the air, creating oxygen, and filtering water.

The Palm Ball is a celebration of our rapidly growing conservation community of supporters who, like you, cherish our special natural places. In the heart of each of us is a deep respect for the natural beauty that surrounds us every day and the growing awareness of the need to protect those special places that remain.

The Palm Ball takes place amidst the spectacular waterfront setting of Bay Preserve at Osprey. We encourage you to reserve early and make your pledge now for table and ticket sponsorships. The Palm Ball benefits Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast and proceeds support vital land protection initiatives.

We invite you to join us and invest in protecting and preserving the land of Florida’s Gulf Coast for this generation and generations to come. Wild places need you.

About Conservation Foundation

Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast works to protect the environmental character, biodiversity and natural integrity of the bays, beaches, barrier islands and their watersheds on Florida's Gulf Coast for future generations. Our work forever protects these critical and rapidly disappearing resources, ensuring a Florida where our children will want to live and visitors will continue to explore.

Yet, we know we cannot do this work alone. In our short fourteen-year history, our work with partners, landowners, and generous donors has saved 9,860 acres across 39 properties. These special places include ecologically sensitive areas providing protection for rare habitat as well as significant natural places for the public to enjoy. Our impact is far reaching, affecting the health of the entire Gulf Coast.

Conservation Foundation is actively working on a bold, landscape-scale initiative, spanning three counties on Florida's Gulf Coast, to create a wilderness preserve rivaling our greatest national treasures. Called the Myakka Island Conservation Corridor, we are expanding protected lands on the Myakka River, which currently exceed 110,000 acres. This nature preserve will become the heart of southwest Florida, benefitting people and wildlife by preventing flooding, protecting invaluable wildlife habitat, and keeping our waterways drinkable, fishable and swimmable.

Our wildlife and special places that have long inspired us to call this region home face greater challenges than ever. We recognize that we are the last generation that can save the precious areas which remain. Conservation Foundation will continue to broaden its impact for conservation and build a community of passionate supporters committed to protecting land for people and for nature. Please join us.
