Together, we protect those places that make a difference in our lives – giving us clean water to drink, beautiful natural places to enjoy, great spots to hike and fish, a world class shoreline, and a reason to live, work and play here on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
We listened to you, to determine what should be our priorities for saving land. We heard that we should protect our cultural identity and way of life and focus on protecting land that meet these priorities – conserve habitat, protect shoreline and water access, connect lands, and provide recreational access. We partner with willing landowners, donors and local governments to get the job done now, as time is running out.
People care about saving the lands they love, forever.
There are many paths to connect with the land and grow your love of nature. We offer varied opportunities to learn about and enjoy the natural world, and connect with others who care about nature too. We love to see the excitement of a child playing outdoors or learning about water by making a water cycle bracelet. We are enthused when an adult sees bioluminescence in the bay for the first time, on an evening kayak paddle. We serve as voice for conservation and help inform our state and local decision-makers on the issues that shape strategic conservation planning.
We collaborate with others in many ways - to study the land, to care for the land, to share knowledge and strategize, and figure out the best path to save critical natural lands, forever.
