The thrill of Shakespeare performed in the delightful outdoor setting of Bay Preserve, hosted by Conservation Foundation of the Gulf Coast.
"The abuse of greatness is when it disjoins remorse from power." Julius Caesar endures a provocative examination of personal responsibility against the backdrop of great political consequences.
Asolo Rep and the FSU/Asolo Conservatory will present this special adaptation of Julius Caesar on Sunday, November 19. The perfect blend of performing arts and nature, the program is designed to engage families in Shakespeare while enjoying the beauty of nature on Little Sarasota Bay.
Gates open at 3:00 pm and the program begins promptly at 3:30 pm. Please park at Historic Spanish Point and enjoy a short trolley ride to Bay Preserve.
The pavilion at Bay Preserve is a perfect setting for this outdoor performance. Feel free to bring your favorite picnic blanket or beach chairs. We will have chairs and a supply of blankets available as well. A wine and lemonade reception follows the 50-minute performance.
