The artist's reception is rescheduled to Tuesday, September 26.
Join us for a reception with local artist Theodore Morris and explore his oil paintings, Florida's Lost Tribes, an extraordinary exhibit of Florida's vanished heritage. A graduate of the Ringling School of Art, Morris worked as a commercial artist for Florida ad agencies, then turned to creating drawings for an archaeological survey company. He found this much more stimulating and began to pursue his other passion of history. Morris' intense study of Florida history merged with his artistic skill as he sought to accurately portray and honor the native men, women, and children of early Florida.
